Joining Secret Silent Scream? 5/13/2012

I am looking for stylish, charismatic duelists who are skilled with a particular deck type for my clan.

Hopefully in the future I can create a team, in which we will post unique deck list on blogger or DN forum. Eventually a youtube channel will be made, but that will be after the clan is assembled.
Test Information:
"There will be no restrictions on the deck you use, but to pass my test you will need to be outstanding.
Even if you don't want to try, I will still duel for fun as well, so don't worry! Have confidence.
You will be given a title according to the type that you have mastery over. Strive to continue to be the best of your kind! You can also make your own title as well."

Test Requirements:
1.You must win 1/2 duels against BadNewz50. If you lose both matches, don't worry! you can tryout every day.
2.Your deck must be unique.( Like I said you can use any deck that you wish, but it must be different from others).
3.Reputation must be at least 500 to be accepted to the duel.
4.Prefer you to be of the age 16+

  2. Deck Tech - Slifer The Sky Dragon in a Dark World Deck

    Using things like Broww as a draw engine with Snoww included, Dark Worlds are quick in the hand. Also with getting three Goldo onto your field, you can send 3 Goldo on the field back to your hand to summon 3 Grapha from your graveyard. Tribute the three Grapha for Slifer The Sky Dragon and BAM, it should have 3000 attack at the least because Grapha sends back three Goldo (or Latinum or Beiige) back to your hand to increase the attack of Slifer The Sky Dragon by 3000. Great combination for Slifer The Sky Dragon.

  3. Deck Tech - Gravelstorm

    If you do not know of the normal trap card known as "Gravelstorm", my advice is you learn about it. Gravel storm has many tricks up its sleeves for abuse to come in any deck you might put it in. Here are a few tricks to get you started with this card.

    If your opponent has a face down spell or trap card, and you have had a face down Gravelstorm on your field, you are in luck if you draw the right spell cards for example; Monster Reborn. If you play a Monster Reborn (or any other spell), you can chain the trap card Gravelstorm to its activation, then send your opponents face down and the activated spell back to the hands. Here is the trick though, the spell you activated and send back still works, so you use its effect, and then get it back to your hand to use again. Yes, you can use Monster Reborn, Mystical Space Typhoon, even Dark Hole, and get it back to use again.

    Another trick is as above, Mystical Space Typhoon. You can play your MST and then chain Gravelstorm, this means you get to destroy a spell/trap, send one back to your opponents hand, AND get your MST back to destroy another spell/trap later or right there if you need it.

    Gravelstorm is also GREAT with continuing effects like Swords of Revealing Light, and Call of The Haunted. On the end phase of your opponents 3rd turn of Swords of Revealing Light, respond with Gravelstorm to add it back to your hand and use it again. Also, if you use Call of The Haunted, then synchro summon, XYZ, or tribute with that monster, Call of The Haunted does NOT go to the graveyard and sits on the field because the monster was not destroyed, it was tributed or used as material. So use Gravelstorm to get Call of The Haunted back.

    Dragon and Dark Worlds can benefit form this, by sending their field spells (Dragon Ravine for dragons) back to the hand after they use the effect. Use it, send it back to hand, play it again, use it again.

    In the end, Gravelstorm is amazing, so try it.

    1. Sorry, but I beg to differ. Otherwise, people would have picked up on this sooner and used it in their Decks. There's some game mechanic that doesn't allow this.     2. Are you retarded?

      When you activate a spell while your opponent controls a spell or trap card, and you chain Gravelstorm, you can send any spell or trap of yours and of your opponents back to their respective hands EXCEPT the card using the effect to send to the hand because a card can not target itself unless the effect states otherwise. Because you do not negate and destroy the spell, the spell's effect MUST resolve as yugioh rules state. Because it resolves, you still get its effects, and because it goes to your hand, you can use it again. Dont tell me I cant do it because I have been since 2011 Regionals and got top 8 because of that card.

  4. Deck Tech - Alien Combos To Steal Opponents Monsters

    By using the trap card Brainwash Beam, you can take control of any monster that has an "A" Counter on it. You also get to keep it as long as an "A" Counter stays on it. If you use Mass Hypnosis, you can take control of up to three of your opponents monsters with "A" counters on them, all at once with this one trap. So what makes great combos with this? Really, 2 cards.

    First, getting out Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar the synchro monster will work well with these cards. By activating Mass Hypnosis, you take 1 to 3 monsters your opponent controls, and on the end phase the trap is destroyed, thus giving back all of the monsters. BUT! If you activate Mass Hypnosis then activate the effect of Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar, you send Mass Hypnosis back to your hand, so on the end phase Mass Hypnosis is NOT destroyed, and because of this your opponent does not get their monster back. The same rules apply to the trap card Brainwash Beam.

    Secondly, Gravelstorm. This trap card can be activated after you take 1 monster with Brainwash Beam OR after you activate Mass Hypnosis and take up to 3 monsters. You send the traps back to your hand, and because they are not destroyed, you do not ever return your opponents monsters.

  5. Deck Tech - Better NEWER Ways To Use "Dark Necrofear"

    We all know that Tour Guide is a very pesky little bastard yes? How would you like to make it even more pesky? Running Tour Guide and Sangan in your deck gives you a reason to actually use Dark Necrofear. Dark Necrofear is an old forgotten card, but it never forgot its own power. This card is awesome, and with cards like Giant Germ and the newer Tour Guide, getting out Dark Necrofear is only that much easier, and you can begin special summoning the big wall / snatch steal monster with an easier mind.

  7. Deck Tech - Using The Said to be Impossible to Use "The Winged Dragon of Ra"!

    Skip to the third paragraph for ways to use it.

    We always hear how Konami let down its TCG players with the let down print of The Winged Dragon of Ra. It's effect to destroy monsters is costly, and can not be used if you use the effect to give it attack power. Also, giving it that attack power also is a huge risk no one actually ever wants to take. Because of this, Obelisk has been deemed to be the only God Card print Konami made that was worth using in any deck. I however, can say very different.

    Most Ra decks run various cards that increase life points, the most common being Nimble Momonga, Draining Shield, and their counter parts. While these cards can assist The Winged Dragon of Ra, the truth is that they are actually bad in todays yugioh world do to their HUGE lack in speed and success (because MST is no longer limited).

    The Best Way to make this card work, and literally the BEST WAY (and is effective) is simple. Macro Cosmos (or Dimensional Fissure) with the spell card Soul Absorption. Everytime a card is banished, you gain 500, 1000, or 1500 life points, depending on the number of face up Soul Absorption's you control. With cards like D.D. Survivor to protect your life points right along with D.D. Scout Plane, your life points wont drop often. Also, using Lightsworn cards like Lyla will mill your deck and give you more life points, and possibly banish a D.D. Scout Plane on the end phase instantly allowing you access to its abilities. Cyber Valley also is quite pesky in this variant because you not only draw two and tribute a D.D. Scout Plane you will only get back at end phase, but you can possibly gain life points while you are at it. Using the field spell card Future Visions is also a VERY pesky option. Any time a monster is normal summoned, it is banished until the next standby phase you have. However, this field does not effect The Winged Dragon of Ra because spell, trap, and monster effects can not activate when it is summoned, so you can summon it and still use its effect to give it attack power, and in the deck variant...A LOT of attack power. Also, its second effect to destroy monsters, which annoying enough costs 1000 life points each destroyed monster, can become less annoying or even free if you have 1 or more face up Soul Absorption on the field. So get to those Ra builds.

  8. Im liking what you are doing with the blog. Its starting to look very nice. Congratz to MacroMaster for being the new leader, im sure she will be a brillant leader. And a welcome from me to all our members who i havent had a chance to meet and greet (i'm kman786 btw). (Cause of exams >.<). Also Badnewz50 i suggest we could make a facebook page on it but i doubt using fb will be a reilable source of communitation (had trouble with it before)

  9. Deck Tech - The Gemini Warriors & Ways To Make Them Faster & More Annoying

    As we know, the Warrior's Strike Structure Deck came out a couple years back, and with it came a few FIRE Attribute Warrior-Type Monsters and another FIRE Attribute Insect-Type monster. The names of those cards are Evocator Chevavlier, Phoenix Gearfried, and Blazewing Butterfly.

    Great cards to add do to being FIRE Attribute are UFO Turtle, Command Knight, and the dreaded Volcanic Counter which is severely under looked. UFO Turtle can fetch you a Blazewing Butterfly since it is FIRE Attribute and 1500 ATK power and can open you up to summoned Evocator Chevalier or Phoenix Gearfried the fallowing turn. UFO Turtle is also good to get out your Command Knight. However, like I said before, they are FIRE Attribute, so Volcanic Counter is good with this type of build. UFO Turtle can fetch a Volcanic Counter, and since UFO turtle goes to the grave and is a FIRE Attribute, you have no fear of losing Volcanic Counter's effects when it is in the graveyard.

    Another great card to consider, since these warriors effects base off of equip spells is Sword of Deep-Seated. When you send this card to the graveyard for the effect of Evocator Chevalier or the effect of Phoenix Gearfriend, the equip spell's effect activates and goes back to the top of the deck to be used again on the following turn. This opens up for a loop play with Phoenix Gearfriend to negate once per turn and then swing without fear of destruction.

    Have fun trying some of these suggestions :)

    1. just one little change i would make with this tactic. Instead of sword of deep-seated, use horn of the unicorn. Exactly same effects, it just increases the atk of the monster by 200 more than sword of deep seated. As they say "MORE POWAR = MORE FUNZ" Have fun :D

    2. Where is why I disagree, I can Card Destruction that Horn of Unicorn to hell, but you can not Card Destruction Sword of Deep-Seated because it will go back to the deck, where Horn will not! I can use Sword of Deep-Seated for Discard effects, and it will return to the deck, Horn will not. I can set Sword of Deep-Seated in face down as a ploy trap to draw MST toward it instead of something more important, and it will come back, I can not do this with Horn. While 700 instead of 500 for increase is nice, the Sword is much or abusive in recycled format than Horn.

    3. I see where you are going with sword of deep seated. But i have found that the difference between 500 and 700 can make all the differnce from winning a game or not. I understand that horn of unicorn can be destoyed by cards like card destruction and morphing jar. However, i rather have the prefrence of having that 200 extra just in case i vs any 3500 beaters with gearfried.

  12. Yes, there has been little activity here. Like you kman, I am also concerned. I am at fault here, since I haven't been on DN for about a month or so. A Facebook group would be REALLY great, since I check Facebook more often than I do this website.
